There is a possibility of two in-game events taking place in Season 5. The first is the Days of Summer event which has been rumoured to return for a number of weeks and the second involves the reveal of COD 2020, reportedly titled Vanguard. Treyarch has bucked the trend of introducing classic Black Ops 2 maps into the map pool rather than adding in all-new battlefields. The all-new Echelon map has been leaked for several months but has yet to officially arrive into the game while other reports have suggested that Plaza and Yemen are in line for a return. As for Outbreak, there are a number of maps that could make an appearance in Season 5. Advertisement

Game Modes

Over the course of previous seasons, a number of classic COD game modes have slowly made their return in Black Ops Cold War. The most recent mode to return was Capture The Flag, a simple yet incredibly competitive mode enjoyed by the casual and competitive communities. With plenty of other game modes still missing from Black Ops Cold War, there is every chance that more will be appearing in the Season 5 update. Perhaps Sabotage and Demolition will return? We will have to wait and see.

Considering Mauer Der Toten has recently released, it's likely that Season 5 could be a quiet one for Black Ops Cold War Zombies. Rather than a new map, there is a possibility of a third Outbreak Easter Egg quest being added to the mode to bridge the gap between Mauer Der Toten and the release of the fourth round-based map. Along with a new Easter Egg, it's likely that plenty of new Intel providing clues on the final Zombies chapter will arrive on August 12th. We will find out who The Director is? We will have to wait and see!
