How long will it take to reach max level in Cold War?

How long will it take to reach max level in Cold War?

With Black Ops Cold War Season 2 having 1000 levels to progress through, you might wonder how long that insane grind will take, so a clever Reddit user did the math. The integration between Black Ops Cold War and Warzone has reinvented the Prestige system. To Prestige no longer means you revert back to level one with a shiny new emblem and bragging rights. Instead, as you rank up from level 1-1000, you Prestige along the way and your progress isn’t reset until the next season. For Prestiging, you earn keys to spend in the shop. These tokens are spent on classic Call of Duty calling cards and emblems such as those from Modern Warfare 2 and the original Black Ops. Once you hit level 200, you will become a Prestige Master for that Season. This means you have essentially finished that Season in terms of levels, and cannot hit the next Prestige until the next Season. However, for the grinders out there, Treyarch has made the max rank level 1000. This gives players who level up fast an extra challenge and something to show off. One brainy Reddit user has figured out how long it will take the average player to hit level 1000.

How long to hit level 1000 in Black Ops Cold War?

One Reddit user figured out that it would take the average player at least 200 hours or eight days to reach the 1,000 level.

The player's reasoning is that "the average player can reach about 15,000-20,000 XP per match, depending on game mode and length." They rounded that number up to 20,000 to account for challenges.

"Each rank passed the Prestige Master (Level 200-1000) is about 26,000 XP per level," they continued. "If the average game lasts about 10 minutes, the average XP per hour is about 100,000 (which is very generous)."

SorraDude calculates that to go from level 200 to 1,000, you need to earn about 20,800,000 XP.

So with the calculations we can figure it out:

20,800,000 (XP required to hit 1000) / 100,000 (XP per hour) = 208

That's 208 hours, or eight days, to reach the maximum level in the Black Operator Cold War.

The user has been very generous with the amount of XP earned, so think of this number as the minimum rather than the average time it will take.

We've seen a lot of 1000 level players in our Cold War matches and no doubt you have too. XP tokens earned through combat passage, along with the insane amount of XP earned for exfilling from Blast matches, will allow players to rank much faster.

Also, if you play Warzone or Plunder often, this ranking won't be as accurate. If you have a great Warzone game with high kills and placement and complete a few contracts, you will earn a ton of XP.

So there are things you can do to speed up your progression, but you must remember that you will need at least 200 hours of play time to reach the 1000 level.
